Argus Secure Messaging

Argus Secure Messaging:

This activity is aimed at reducing the amount of paperwork that flows between health care providers by replacing paper documents with the secure electronic transmission of patient information between healthcare parties. We are currently working with a small number of GPs to establish a working party to recruit specialists, hospitals and allied health providers to use ARGUSCONNECT Secure Messaging System.

Argus user updates - If you would like to receive a monthly (or there abouts) email that lists any updates to the Argus users in the Manly Warringah Division area click here (This will open a new message in your default email program that you need to send).

Sending referrals via Argus - It is now acceptable to send referrals via Argus (without the need for individual digital signing of letters).

Scanning and storing electronic referrals and requests - From the AMA website:GP Network News Issue 09, Number 38 - 13 November 2009
Following Medicare Australia’s review of electronic referrals and requests, individual public key technology certificates are no longer required for provider-to-provider electronic referrals and requests. In addition, the requirement for independent third party verification for referrals or requests scanned for storage has been removed. This change is the result of discussions between Medicare Australia and its stakeholder consultative group, of which the AMA is a member.
