• To improve access by residents of aged care facilities to appropriate medical care

Activities
• GP Panel Meetings
• Contact with Directors of Nursing from Aged Care Facilities
• Raise issues to improve rapport and communication between GPs and Aged Care Facilities
• GPs run interactive education and support programs for Nursing Home & Hostel staff and resident’s families
• Palliative Care Education Sessions: For staff in RACF’s to increase their knowledge and understanding of palliative care
• Division provides funding to RACF’s for the provision of Allied Health Services 
• Aged Care Chapter Meeting - 2nd Tuesday of each month
